At Passport to Play, we believe that every child deserves the very best start in life. We provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and confident to be themselves.

We are incredibly proud that our recent Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) inspection recognised our commitment to children with Excellent ratings for both Well-being and Environment. CIW described our children as “enthusiastic, curious learners” and highlighted their “strong sense of belonging.” Our environment was recognised as an “excellent space for children to play and learn”, with an “exceptional outdoor area” providing varied opportunities for play and exploration.

Caterpillar Room Under 2s

Our Caterpillar Room is a warm, nurturing space specially designed for our youngest children, from birth to two years.

We understand that these early years are all about developing secure relationships, confidence and a strong sense of belonging. Our experienced team provide responsive, individualised care, working closely with families and following each child’s unique routines, interests and developmental needs.

Through sensory play, songs, stories, messy play and age-appropriate exploration, we encourage our babies and toddlers to discover the world around them at their own pace. Most importantly, we want every child to feel safe, loved, settled and happy as they begin their Passport to Play journey.

Butterfly Room 2–4 Years

Our Butterfly Room is an exciting and inspiring environment where children aged two to four can explore, investigate, create and develop their independence.

The Butterfly Room incorporates our dedicated Quiet Room and Exploration Room, giving children a choice of spaces to meet their individual needs.

Our Exploration Room provides opportunities for children to investigate, experiment, problem-solve and follow their own interests through hands-on, open-ended experiences. Our Quiet Room offers a calm and peaceful space where children can relax, regulate, enjoy a story or simply take some time away from the busier areas.

Following the principles of the Curiosity Approach and Curriculum for Wales, we encourage children to ask questions, make choices, take risks in their learning and develop into confident, capable and curious learners.

Our Outdoor Space

Outdoor learning and play are an important part of life at Passport to Play. Our exceptional outdoor space provides children with opportunities for adventure, physical development, imaginative play, creativity and exploration.

Children can enjoy a range of experiences including nature exploration, water and sensory play, gardening, construction, climbing and imaginative play. We believe that being outdoors allows children to learn in different ways, build confidence and develop a sense of wonder about the world around them.

Out of School Club Reception – Year 6

Our Out of School Club provides a safe, welcoming and fun environment for children from Reception through to Year 6.

We offer before-school and after-school care, as well as holiday provision, providing families with flexible childcare throughout the year.

Our club gives children the opportunity to relax, have fun and be themselves outside of the school day. Children can enjoy creative activities, games, outdoor play, imaginative experiences and time with friends, with opportunities designed to cater for different ages, personalities and interests.

During the school holidays, we provide an exciting programme of activities and experiences, giving children plenty of opportunities to play, explore, create and make memories.
